Mama Monday’s….Makeup Tip!

Good Morning Mama’s!

I didn’t really wear makeup until I was in my mid-20’s. I first tried it out in junior high; my mom found out and banned it. But of course, being the rebellious tween (I shudder to think of the payback I am going to get with my two daughters – at least I have ten years) for about a month I snuck over to a girlfriends house in the morning before school to put on that terrible, pink lipstick with blue mascara….anyone else remember that look?

In my 20’s, I went through a heavy black eyeliner and red lipstick (which I still seem to fall back on every now and then) and now I pretty much have a daily routine. Please let me just say that I am not saying that anyone needs to wear makeup! However, if you are someone that enjoys applying makeup and/or wearing it then here is your tip!

Have I mentioned that I have a three year old and five month old and haven’t slept in oh, three to four years? Add to the fact that I have Italian blood and the beautiful (yes that is sarcasm) raccoon eyes that come with that ethnicity. For those reasons, I have been on the hunt for a good under eye concealer and boy oh boy did I find one!

I am not here to promote any brand over another so I am not going to mention the specific brand…if you really want to know leave me a comment with your email address and I will ping you directly. BUT, I do want to share that if you can find a good under eye concealer, it makes all the difference between being a disheveled, tired looking mama and a bright eyed and bushy tailed mama…personally, I prefer for people to see me and not that I am just another tired mama.

And, a very Happy Valentine’s Day to you and your lovies!

Brand please! :) I find comfort in the fact that I am not alone in feeling like a disheveled mama. But I do want to look like I have it together!

I understand where you are coming from. I am 23 and I had my own make up problems I am bi racial and on the darker side and a REALLY hard time finding a foundation that would match my skin tone! Most on the market are to light and the ones marketed to African americans (I am african american and mexican) are to dark or have an orange undertone. I was amazed with bare minerals! I mean I ordered it over the phone and the shades they sent me blended in perfectly! It is really hard to find stuff that fits for you. We are all different and the mainstream marketing doesn’t see that.
